Caramel Apple Hand Pie

Ingredients:

4 sheets of unbaked pie crust dough
6 to 8 medium apples, peeled and diced
16 unwrapped caramels
1/2 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of apple pie spice
2 tablespoons of flake salt

Method:

Cut four 3- to 4-inch circles of dough out of each pie crust.
On top of eight of the pie circles, place some diced apples. Combine brown sugar and apple pie spice. Sprinkle apples with brown sugar spice mixture. Place two caramels on top. Sprinkle with a little flake salt.
Place another round of pie crust on top and seal the edges with a fork.
Cut three 1-1/2 inch slits in the top of each hand pie.
Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
