Hobo Bread

Ingredients:

Place in a bowl overnight or for 8 hours:
2 cups dark raisins
2 cups boiling water
4 teaspoons baking soda
Next morning add:
2 cups white sugar
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups all-purpose flour

Method:

1. Mix thoroughly. Grease and flour three 1-pound
coffee cans, fill each with dough half full.
2. Bake one hour at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), let cool for half an hour before removing from cans.
Makes 3 loaves.
