Hungarian Goulash 2

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds round steak, cut in 1/2 inch cubes
3 tablespoons oil
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 (16 ounce) can whole tomatoes
1/3 cup water
2/3 cup Pet Evaporated Milk

Method:

Brown meat in hot oil in large saucepan. Mix together flour, paprika, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir into meat mixture. Add onion, tomatoes and water. Cover. Simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Gradually stir Pet Evaporated Milk into hot mixture. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
Makes 6 servings.
