Peach Dump Cake

2 (16-ounce) cans peaches in heavy syrup
1 (15.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, cut into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
vanilla ice cream, optional, to taste, for serving


Step 1 -
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -
Pour the peaches and their syrup in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 -
Cover the peaches with the cake mix and press down on it firmly.
Step 4 -
Scatter the butter pieces on top of the cake mix.
Step 5 -
Sprinkle the butter with the cinnamon.
Step 6 -
Bake the cake until it is golden-brown, about 45 minutes.
Step 7 -
Serve with the vanilla ice cream.
