Answer: A four finger single tap at the bottom of the screen will take you to the bottom and a four finger single tap near the top of the screen will take you to the top.
You can also touch the Status Bar at the top of the screen and perform a one finger double tap gesture: This will bring the focus back up to the top.
2. What four typing styles are available on the Rotor when running VoiceOver?
Answer: Touch typing, standard typing, direct touch typing, and Quick Path or Slide to Type
3. What are two ways to start or stop VoiceOver from running on your iPhone?
Answer: Ask SIRI to turn on Voiceover, or tap the Home or Side button three times quickly.

Answer: a two finger double tap gesture will stop or start an action. This is also called the "Magic Tap" gesture

You can also swipe down from the top right corner to the first vibration to open Control Center.

Answer: touch the grid … apps on any page of your device and perform a three finger swipe down.
Spotlight Search is also accessible from the "Page Indicator" area that is located near the bottom of the iPhone screen, just above the apps on the Dock.

Answer: perform a four finger double tap gesture to open and to close VoiceOver practice.
You can also perform a "Z scrub" gesture to close VoiceOver Practice.

If on the Home screen, VO will announce where you are, or speaks the current page number and position. If the currently focused item is a photo or image, VO will do it"s best to give an audio description of that image or photo.
19. How do you temporarily mute VoiceOver speech?
Answer: A three finger double tap gesture will mute and unmute VoiceOver speech.
20. How do you turn on, or off the "screen curtain when running VoiceOver?
Answer: A three finger triple tap gesture will turn on and off the screen curtain.
21. What does a three finger quadruple tap gesture do when running voiceOver?
Answer: A three finger quadruple tap gesture will copy the last spoken text to the clipboard.
22. What is a "Z scrub" gesture and how do you perform this gesture?
Answer: Two finger scrub in a letter Z configuration (Scrub back and forth) will Go back, cancel, close a pop–up
23. How do you read continuously from the top of a document, when running VoiceOver?

Answer: Find the tabs button at the bottom right of the screen and perform a one finger double tap gesture, and then go up to the top left corner of the screen and flick up with one finger to close the current open tab.
To close all open tabs when in Safari, perform a one finger double tap and hold gesture on the tabs button, and then go up to the top left corner of the screen and flick up with one finger to close all current open tabs.
26. What are the four distinct elements that are present on your home screen, when the iPhone is open and you are on your Home page?
Answer: the status bar, the grid of apps, the page indicator, and the doc.
27. What is iCloud Keychain?
Answer: iCloud Keychain keeps your Safari website user names and passwords, credit card information, and Wi–Fi network information up to date. iCloud Keychain works with Safari Password Generator and AutoFill. When you’re setting up a new account, Safari Password Generator suggests unique, hard–to–guess passwords. You can use AutoFill to have iPhone enter your user name and password info, making login easy.
With iCloud Keychain, you can store all your user names and passwords for websites and apps, securely and safely. You can even store credit card numbers Now, when this information is needed, just authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode, and the correct information will be available automatically, so you can log in with no effort at all. Of course, it’s iCloud, so all your info is available on all your devices. iCloud Keychain can even create and suggest strong passwords for you, so you’ll always be protected. You can see your passwords at any time if you need to, and you can also find out which passwords are being reused or are otherwise weak. You can even share passwords with people who need them, when they are nearby, such as when someone wants to join your home Wi–Fi network.
28. What is ApplePay?
Answer: Apple Pay lets you make secure purchases in stores, in apps, and on the web. And now send and receive money from friends and family right within Messages.
29. There are several key words that will cause an animation to play when you type or dictate them in the Edit field in the iMessages app. Name three trigger words?
Answer: The words must be typed or dictated exactly as shown below and by themselves. After entering the "key words" in the edit field, go to the "Send Button" and perform a one finger double tap gesture (When VoiceOver is running) to send the message with the animation.
The Three key words are:
"Happy Birthday", this will send Balloons up from the bottom of the screen, up to the top of the screen along with the words "Happy Birthday"
"Congratulations", Confetti will fall, along with the word "Congratulations" when you send this text message
"Happy New Year", fireworks will play, along with the words "Happy New Year" when you send this text message.
30. What is "text replacement" and how do you use it?
Answer: Open Settings, then go to General, then go to Keyboard, and flick right until you get to "Text Replacement".
Set up keyboard shortcuts for any and all of the text you type regularly. By default, the iPhone and iPad ship with "OMW" as a "Text Replacement shortcut for "On my way!" but you can create and customize any Text Replacement – shortcut you want. What's more, thanks to iCloud, any Text Replacement you create will automatically sync between your iPhone, iPad, and/or Mac. Here's how!

The Item Chooser lists and filters all items on the screen and is most useful on web pages or apps with large lists of content.
To open the Item Chooser, perform a double finger triple tap gesture.
32. What are the two types of screen orientation? How do you lock or unlock the screen orientation?
Answer: There are two screen orientations, Portrait and Landscape.
Open the Control Center and swipe until you get to "Lock Rotation" and this is a toggle switch to turn it On or Off.
33. How do you dictate text within an editable text field. What are the two ways to get to the Dictate option, when the virtual keyboard is present?
Answer: Perform a two finger double tap gesture when the text field is open and the virtual keyboard is present. The two finger double tap gesture will start and then stop the Dictation option.
You can also perform a one finger double tap gesture on the "Dictate" Button which is located in the far right bottom corner on the virtual keyboard, when the virtual keyboard is present. The one finger double tap gesture on the Dictate button is a toggle.
34. What is the "AirDrop" feature?
Answer: AirDrop is an application built into Apple software which uses Bluetooth to communicate between two or more nearby iOS devices. It can be used to send files, links, pictures, videos, contact cards, etc.
It is accessed through the "Share" menu along with printing and other facilities. When the request is sent the receiving device must accept the request to transfer.
AirDrop is both quick and easy. Similar to sending files via text and email, you can use the cross–platform utility to send photos, videos, songs, and even files. This is particularly handy when you are in close proximity to the person you’d like to send your file to, as AirDrop only works when users are near one another.
Moreover, from a security standpoint, AirDrop is safer to use than both email and text. The feature uses a Bluetooth connection to create a peer–to–peer Wi–Fi network between your Apple devices, and creates a firewall which allows for added encryption.
Another benefit of AirDrop is that several native iOS apps support it. You can access the feature from directly within Photos, Notes, Safari, Contacts, and Maps, without having to navigate to a different screen or copy and paste the information.
35. What is iCloud Drive?
Answer: iCloud Drive lets you securely access all of your documents from your iPhone, iPad, and any other Apple device. So no matter which device you’re using, you always have the most up to date documents when you need them.
You can keep files and folders up to date across all of your devices: create new files and folders from iCloud enabled apps.: work on the same file across multiple app: etc.
You can even share files and folders with other users who have an Apple ID for file and folder collaboration.
36. How do you use the Spell Check on an iOS device?
Answer: 1. Set VoiceOver rotor to misspelled words.
2 Swipe up or down, or press up or down arrows on your keyboard or braille displays to find the previous or next misspelled word.
3. Move right with a finger or keyboard each time will show you the next in a list of correctly spelled suggestions.
4. If you find the word you want, double tap on it or activate it with your keyboard and it will replace the misspelled word.
5. If the word you want is not in the list, the offensive misspelling you’re on is selected so pressing delete or backspace will erase it. Then you can enter another attempt.
37. What is "Two Factor Authentication?
Answer: Two–factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to all your logins by asking new devices to confirm that they are legit. After you log in to an app, or site with two–factor authentication enabled you will get a push notification with a verification code, ensuring that you are the only one who can access the account.
Apple has two–factor authentication support baked right into the iOS software, and it is so incredibly easy to use that it auto–fills the codes for you. So you don't even have to type them in.
Go to Settings , Password & Security, then tap "Turn on Two–Factor authentication.
Once you do this, your phone guides you through the rest of the setup process.
38. What are "Siri Shortcuts"?
Answer: The Shortcuts app lets you create custom shortcuts with multiple steps that you can use with your favorite apps. Choose from hundreds of examples in the Gallery Or drag and drop actions to create your very own shortcuts.
Once the Short Cuts app is installed, you will be able to create all sorts of shortcuts that can run multiple steps at once with Apple's apps as well as third–party apps. For example, saying "Hey Siri, it's bedtime" might turn off the lights in every room of your house and arm your HomeKit enabled alarm system.
39. What is "Capacitive Touch" on an iOS device?
Answer: Capacitive touch, and it is best to use a light (almost feather weight) type of touch.
capacitive touch screen has a small electrical charge. When you put your finger near it, it will discharge into you and create the voltage drop in the screen surface. As you move your finger across the surface, there is a corresponding drop in voltage. The screen has hundreds of sensors in a grid like pattern that track these voltage drops on the screen so it knows what gestures or actions you are doing. Think of what is happening as many tiny little invisible painless lightning bolts coming from the screen and into your fingers.
Capacitive touch is a voltage drop on the screen, not heat or pressure that triggers action.
40. How do you go about finding all the list of VoiceOver Gestures that are located right in your iPhone?
Answer: To find about all the VoiceOver Gestures, you can find this information right in your iPhone.
Go to Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Commands, and then to the heading of Touch commands.
41. How do you customize VoiceOver gestures that are "unassigned"?

42. What are "Back Tap" gestures, and how do you enable these features?
Answer: The Back Tap Gestures:
Double– or Triple–tap on the back of your iPhone to perform a host of functions. Open Settings Accessibility Touch and scroll all the way down to find the Back Tap menu. This lets you add an action to a double–tap on the back of your iPhone, and another action to triple–tap. These include the ability to open Control Center, take a screenshot, return to the Home screen, adjust volume, and more. You can even set them to one of your Shortcuts, making it very flexible. This is like having two extra buttons on your iPhone, and getting to customize exactly what they do
43. What is the "Long Press" Action and how do you perform this gesture, when VoiceOver is running?
Answer: The Long Press Gesture is performed by performing a one finger double tap and hold gesture. This gesture allows Context menu's to open.

Answer: Reader view is an option for viewing a web site, with out all the clutter and shows a simplified text view.
In safari the “page settings button“ is located to the left of the Search bar: it’s not always necessarily at the top. In iOS 15 the search bar move to the bottom of the screen, unless you change it back to the top, it could be at the bottom. If you double tap the “Page Settings†button, there will be options including showing the Reader.
47. What is the App Library, and how do you open the App Library?
Answer: when running VoiceOver, perform a 3 finger swipe gesture (from right to left) to advance screens of apps, until you get past the last page of apps and then the App Library will appear with one more 3 finger swipe gesture.
You can also get to the App Library by selecting the Page selector, which is located just above the Doc and is represented by dots. If you have 5 pages of Apps, then there are 5 dots in the page selector area. You can flick up and down with one finger to go forward and backward through the pages of Apps on your iOS device. When you keep flicking up, you will go past the last page of apps and then there will appear the App Library. If you keep flicking down, you will arrive at the "Today View" which used to be Page 1 in prior versions of the iOS.
Searching the App Library: If you do not want to open and close the app category boxes looking for the app you need, search is the way to go. Just drag down on the App Library, or tap the search box, to get an alphabetical index of all your apps. Tap the search box at the top of the screen, or swipe down anywhere on the screen, and you can search by name or scroll through an alphabetical list of all the apps on your iPhone.
Adding apps to the home screen: If there is an app in the App Library that is not on your home screen, it is easy to add. Just tap and hold on an app icon until you see the context menu, and choose Add to Home Screen. If an app already exists on your home screen, you won't see that option. Long–press an icon in the App Library to add it to your home screen.
Adding an app to your home screen does not remove it from the App Library it will always contain all the apps on your iPhone.
48. What is the Vertical Scroll Bar?
Answer: The Vertical Scroll Bar:
This is a useful tool to quickly get where you want to be in places where there are many pages. Instead of flicking up with three fingers to go one page at a time, you can use the Vertical Scroll Bar. For example: if you are in the News app and there are many pages of stories... Touch with one finger
on the top right–hand side of the screen, just below the status line. This is like the "Table Index Scroll Bar when you are in the main route of the Contacts app. You can now flick up or down to go quickly at percentage rates. You can also touch the Vertical Scroll Bar at the far bottom right of the screen,
once you have performed a four–finger single tap gesture at the bottom of your screen, and this takes you to the last page at 100%.
To quickly get to the top of a large document or place where there are multiple pages, you can jump to the top by bringing focus to the status bar and double tap. This jumps you to the top.
49. What are Share Sheets and how do you open this feature?
Answer: Share Sheets allow you to easily share almost anything with almost anyone. They also provide ways for you to share content among multiple apps, and to perform important functions, such as copying or printing documents, editing audio, and more. To the sighted user, the Share icon in most apps will appear as three dots. Voiceover users will typically hear the word, “Shareâ€.
The Share Sheet is usually divided into three sections. The first section, if available, provides a list of sharing suggestions, based upon people you’ve recently talked to, and based upon people who seem to be relevant, such as faces that appear in a photo. Simply tap on any name (double–tap for VO users), to share quickly with that person.
The next section of the Share Sheet shows ways of sharing the particular content with others, as well as options for opening the content in other apps These choices will vary depending on what apps you have installed on your iPad, and are also specific to the type of file you are trying to share. Most file types can be shared using Messages and Mail, as well as AirDrop. Other options will vary. For example, if you received a PDF attachment in an email, you will see the option to copy it to Apple Books for easy access. Did you receive an audio attachment? You will be able to open it in the Voice Memos app. If you have Dropbox, Twitter, Facebook, iTunes U, Google Classroom, or a variety of other apps installed on your iPad, these options will also usually be available. Don’t see the app you’re looking for? Try tapping the “More†icon, to display additional app choices.
The final section of the Share Sheet displays additional relevant options, again depending on what you have installed and the kind of file you are sharing. Copy, Print, Save to Files, Save Photo/Video, Use As Wall Paper, MarkUp, and Download file, are just a few examples of options you might see. The “Edit Actions†button at the bottom of the Share Sheet allows you to rearrange items on the sheet.
Voice Memos, Photos, Maps, Safari, Pages, Keynote, Numbers, GarageBand, Clips, iMovie, Apple Books, and Apple News are just a few examples of apps that offer Share Sheets. You might be surprised where they will show up. Third–party apps like Amazon, YouTube, and others definitely have them.
Some apps, like Photos and Safari, allow you to choose custom options before sharing. To the left of the sharing suggestions, you will find the name of what you are trying to share, or the number of items that are being shared With Voiceover on, swipe up or down on this info area until you hear “Optionsâ€. Sighted users can tap the blue Options button. In Safari, you’ll be able to choose whether you are sending the website as HTML or as a PDF. With Photos, choose to disable the sharing of the location where the photo was taken. Tap Back when you’re finished.
50. How do you get to "My Account" in the App store app, and how do you update your apps that are installed on your Apple iOS device?
Answer: When you go into the App Store you will single–finger swipe to “My Accountâ€.
Single–Finger tap and swipe down to “Available Updatesâ€.
This is a heading so swipe one more time to "Update Allâ€, or keep swiping through the Apps ready for updating and decide individually.
A nice trick is to refresh this list with a single–finger tap and hold, then pull down and let go.
Another way is to do a 3–finger pull down to refresh. Notice that your available updates increase.
Another nice feature added to the list of Apps is you can flick up with one finger and delete the app if you do not want that particular app anymore.
51. What are Widgets and how do you add them to any screen of apps on your iPhone?
Answer: How to Add Widgets to Your Home Screen. The extra widget options you can add to your Home screen. Adding these can range from fun, such as adding featured photos, to useful, such as having the weather front and center for your daily planning.
Note: These instructions were written for sighted persons, who are not using voiceOver. If you are using VoiceOver: when the instructions say "Tap on an item", perform a one finger double tap.
1. Unlock your iPhone if it is locked.
2. Press your Home screen until the icons start to wiggle.
3. Tap the Add button in the top left corner.
4. Apple will suggest widgets. If your desired widget is there, tap it.
5. If you don't see the widget you want to add, scroll down or use the search bar at the top of the feature.
6. Tap Add Widget.
7. Tap Done.
52. What are the three categories within VoiceOver Recognition?
Answer: Image Recognition, Screen Recognition and Text Recognition.
Image Recognition uses on–device AI to analyze images and photos and attempts to give the users a verbal description of the focused image.
Text Recognition uses on–device intelligence to analyze text within images and present that text to the VO user. This is useful for screen shots, scanned pdf documents and photos of textual information.
Screen Recognition again uses on–device AI to analyze elements on the screen, groups things together, separates elements etc, and attempts to make the screen more accessible to the VO user. Screen Recognition is meant to be used with apps that are lacking accessibility references and, therefore, the on–device intelligence will work to make it more accessible to you. If an app is already accessible, you may find that it actually confuses you and causes the app to be less user friendly.
These features are configurable in Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, VoiceOver Recognition. You can disable or enable each feature individually, as well as turn off Image Recognition for specific apps. In addition, you can add Screen Recognition to the rotor so that it is easily enabled and disabled for specific apps on the fly.
53. What model or models of iPhone currently work with VoiceOver Recognition features?
Answer: iPhone XS or later. These are the iPhone models with the AI chip present. iPhone X and older do not have the AI chip and thus are not compatible with VoiceOver Recognition features.
54. In the native Apple Weather app there is a feature to hear an autograph of the precipitation for the next hour. How do you access this audio graph?
Answer: When there is precipitation in your area; you can now view and hear an audio graph of the “X and Y axis†for the precipitation for the next hour.
you will get a notice that there is an audio graph available. This is called a “Rain fall graphâ€. This occurs when running voiceover.
There are Rotor actions for viewing the precipitation details for that specific hour, where rain or other precipitation is forecasted. You swipe up to get the rotor actions for reviewing the details.
55. How can you access the VoiceOver Settings, for the VoiceOver Commands list, on the fly, from anywhere on your iPhone?
Answer: Under Quick Settings: You can now adjust VoiceOver settings on the Fly, no matter where you are on your Apple iOS Device, such as in a particular app, on Safari, in your e–mail, etc.
This is activated by a 2 finger quadruple tap gesture.
You can adjust the order in which the Quick Setting appears in the list.
You can also remove items by de–selecting them.
You can close the Quick Settings feature, with a Z scrub gesture, or going to the Done button, that is located at the top.
56. What are the two navigation styles in iOS 15: Referring to "Navigation Style", which is located in the Settings, under Accessibility?
Answer: Under Navigation Style: There are 2 options, Flat or Grouped.
Suggested that you keep this on the Flat option, which is the normal way of navigating.
If you choose Navigate by Groups, then VoiceOver will navigate by moving through items and groups of items on the screen. You will need to perform a two finger slide left to leave a group, and a 2 finger swipe right to enter a group.
57. How do you enable "Background Sounds" that will play in the background on your iPhone?
Answer: Under Hearing: Under Audio and Visual: Background Sounds can be turned on. This plays background sounds that masks unwanted environmental noise. These sounds can minimize distractions and help you to focus, calm yourself, or to rest.
All of the sounds can be set to play in the background, to mask unwanted environmental or external noise, and the sounds mix into or duck under other audio and system sounds.
Background Sounds comes with six options: balanced, bright, or dark noise, ocean, rain, and stream.
Instead of having its own app, the feature is tucked inside Settings, Accessibility, Hearing, under Audio and Visual. There is a Control Center shortcut.
58. How can you learn what the various system sound effects are, and determine if you want to customize or change those sounds?
Answer: Under Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Audio, go to Sounds and Haptics.

59. What is "Focus" Mode on your iPhone?
Answer: The Focus mode on the iPhone: Now helps users focus and reduces distractions.
Focus will filter notifications and apps based on what a user wants to focus on. Users can set their device to help them be in the moment by creating a custom Focus or selecting a suggested Focus, which uses on–device intelligence to suggest which people and apps are allowed to notify them.
For example, you can enable the Sleep focus profile at night, and your iPhone will limit the notifications from only a handful of apps based on your habit and machine learning.
Custom Focus Profiles:
By default, Apple offers a Driving, Sleep, Personal, and Work Focus profile. You can also create a custom Focus profile with specific apps, widgets, and home screen arrangement in the Focus mode.
60. What is "Notifications Summary?
Answer: Notification Summary collects non–time–critical notifications for delivery at a more opportune time, such as in the morning and evening. It learns from customer habits and uses on–device learning to prioritize and deliver notifications based on user’s interactions with apps.

Answer: Voice isolation in FaceTime uses Machine Learning to block unwanted background noise in FaceTime video/voice calls. It’s not limited to FaceTime calls only. Apple will allow third–party apps to utilize the tech for seamless audio calls.
When on a call, go to the Control Center (on newer phones, swipe down from the top–right corner) and hold down on the Mic. There you can turn on voice isolation, which will decrease background noise, such as a dog barking or other environmental sounds. This will work in other video–calling apps, too, and will help even if you're wearing AirPods.

• Launch the FaceTime app and initiate a video call.
